Proof-reading Lingua Genesis Ltd is dedicated to the provision of a highly professional and economically feasible proof-reading service in the 21 languages in which it also provides translation work (see menu). All of the proof-readers who are inter-affiliated with the business are in possession of a certificate as evidence of their having undertaken at least some form of training in this area and most of them are qualified translators specialising in a gamut of academic subjects. The company has immediate access to the hourly fees of each of its associate proof-readers and this enables our staff to quote you a reasonable price. We also assure that your document, whether it be a university essay or a job reference, etc, is thoroughly checked for any faults, prior to being returned to you as soon as possible.
The majority of our proof-readers charge no more than between £15 and £20 per hour, although this fee will be proportionately reduced to both members of the public and to companies which wish for us to deal with multiple assignments on a short- or long-term basis. There are instances, however, where third party companies may require that Lingua Genesis Ltd provide its proof-reading services on their behalf, in which case the former may suggest a fee in advance for the assignment to be carried out. The proof-reader would, in this case, need to agree to any proposal relating to payment.
All queries or requests with reference to the proof-reading of documentation should be directed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . These will be read and acknowledged by e-mail on a daily basis between 7.00 and 8.30 am and again from 9.30 pm onwards. Otherwise, you may prefer to telephone the managing director, Carl Dundas, at the above times and during the day by dialling 07533 851797. If you are giving consideration to utilising our services for any proof-reading work, we shall always be very happy to help. To assist you in the quickest way possible, however, we suggest that you supply us in your initial contact with any relevant information, such as the number of words or pages contained in the documentation and the date by which the assignment in question should be re-submitted.
Upon the receipt of any enquiry, the managing director or his personal assistant shall liaise with and communicate the customer’s wishes to an appointed proof-reader who will be readily equipped with a knowledge of the skills and relevant software to effectuate your request in a timely manner. Once the latter has agreed to correct the documentation which we receive, both the client and our associate must validate a written agreement which confirms that the task will be executed according to a pre-determined set of terms and conditions.
Any proof-reader who agrees to carry out a proof-reading assignment guarantees being able to successfully complete the work within between 24 and 48 hours after receiving that assignment, for an average rate of between £15 and £20 per hour, unless the client is informed that a charge per word will be imposed by the appointed proof-reader, which is extremely infrequent.
If you are in urgent need of any material to be proof-read within 24 hours of submitting an enquiry, the associate due to carry out the task may ask that slightly more than £15 - 20 per hour be paid. This is likely to be influenced more than anything else by texts which are of a considerable length. Nonetheless, it is the sole responsibility of the proof-reader to assess as to whether or not he or she will be able to perform the task within the deadline stipulated by the client, taking into consideration any factors which may influence such a decision. We also offer translation and interpretation services. See the menu for more details.
The languages in which we are able to lend our proof-reading service are as follows:
Arabic Chinese Czech Danish Dutch English French Frisian German Greek Italian Japanese Latvian Polish Portuguese Romanian Russian Slovak Spanish Swedish Ukrainian
Our proof-readers are, of course, able to handle the thorough checking of materials of a generic nature, but in addition they have, amongst themselves, an in-depth expert knowledge in the following areas.
